Laser & IPl treatments
Hair Removal
Say goodbye to waxing and shaving with our advanced laser hair removal treatments. Using state-of-the-art IPL and laser technology, we target unwanted hair at its root for long-lasting results.
How It Works
IPL devices emit short pulses of light absorbed by melanin in the hair follicles. This heat damages the follicle, preventing new hair growth. The treatment is gentle, non-invasive, and ideal for all skin types.
Why Choose IPL?
-
- Non-irritating compared to waxing or shaving.
- Filters allow customization for different body areas.
- Quick sessions—perfect for a lunch break!
- Integrated cooling systems ensure comfort throughout the process.

Tattoo Removal
Regret your ink? Our Nd:YAG laser technology effectively targets and removes unwanted tattoos, whether they’re dark pigments like black and blue or vibrant colours like red, orange, and yellow. It's not just tattoos you can remove, semi-permanent make-up such as microblading can also be removed in as little as 1 session!
How It Works
My laser emits specific wavelengths of light, breaking down tattoo pigments into tiny particles. These particles are naturally eliminated by your body’s immune system over time.
Why Choose CK Laser for Tattoo Removal?
-
- Versatile treatments for all ink colours.
- Safe and effective technology.
- Personal understanding of the tattoo removal journey—I've been there myself!

IPL & Carbon Laser Facials
At CK Laser, we offer advanced IPL and carbon laser facials to rejuvenate your complexion, target imperfections, and leave your skin glowing.
IPL Facials: Using Intense Pulsed Light technology, IPL facials target pigmentation, redness, and uneven skin tone. This non-invasive treatment stimulates collagen production to reduce fine lines and improve texture, giving you smoother, brighter skin with minimal downtime.
Carbon Laser Facials: Known as the "Hollywood Peel," carbon laser facials deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and rejuvenate the skin. A carbon-based solution draws out impurities, while laser technology vaporizes debris, minimizes pores, and brightens dull skin. Perfect for acne-prone or oily skin, this treatment leaves your face radiant and refreshed.

FAQs
What is IPL laser hair removal, and how does it work?
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) laser hair removal uses broad-spectrum light pulses to target and destroy hair follicles. The light is absorbed by melanin (the pigment in the hair), converting into heat that damages the follicle, preventing future hair growth. Unlike traditional lasers, IPL can be customized for different skin types and hair colours using filters, making it a versatile option for hair removal.
Is IPL hair removal safe?
Yes, IPL is a safe and non-invasive treatment when performed by trained professionals.
Does IPL hair removal hurt?
We're lucky enough to have the latest technology for client comfort- an inbuilt cooling head which cool and sooth the skin. This combined with cooling gel means that you'll feel virtually nothing if any discomfort. If you feel discomfort, this is similar to a small elastic band 'pinging' the skin which lasts for less than a second and is gone instantly.
How should I prepare for IPL treatment?
Avoid waxing or plucking for at least 4 weeks before treatment to ensure the hair follicle is intact. Shave the treatment area 24 hours prior to your session. Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks before your appointment. Refrain from using skincare products with active ingredients like retinoids or AHAs on the treatment area before your session.
What should I do after IPL treatment?
Apply a soothing aloe vera gel or moisturizer to the treated area. Avoid sun exposure and use SPF 30+ sunscreen on the treated areas. Refrain from hot showers, saunas, or intense exercise for 24–48 hours. Avoid plucking, waxing, or threading between sessions.
How does laser tattoo removal work?
Laser tattoo removal uses high-intensity light beams to break down tattoo ink particles into tiny fragments. These fragments are absorbed and eliminated by the body's lymphatic system over time. Different wavelengths are used to target specific ink colours—Nd:YAG lasers (1064 nm) for darker pigments like black and blue, and KTP lasers (532 nm) for brighter colours like red and orange.
Is laser tattoo removal safe?
Yes, laser tattoo removal is a safe procedure when performed by trained professionals. Advanced lasers are designed to minimize damage to the surrounding skin while effectively targeting the ink. A patch test is usually conducted to ensure the treatment is suitable for your skin type.
Does tattoo removal hurt?
The sensation is often compared to the snap of a rubber band or a splash from hot oil. While it can be uncomfortable, there are ways of managing this. I always advise my clients to use numbing cream and use skin cooling pre and post treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions depends on factors like:
- Tattoo size and location: Larger tattoos or tattoos on areas with slower circulation (like feet) may require more sessions.
- Ink colours: Black and dark blue inks are easier to remove, while lighter colours like green, yellow, and white may take longer.
- Age of the tattoo: Older tattoos are often easier to remove as the ink naturally fades over time.
On average, 6–12 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart are required for significant fading or complete removal.
Are there any side effects with tattoo removal?
Temporary redness and swelling are common after treatment. Skin cooling immediately after reduces this. Blistering or scabbing is rare after treatment. Cooling of the skin pre and post-treatment reduces this significantly. These side effects usually resolve within a week. Rarely, some individuals may experience pigment changes (light or dark spots), which are often temporary. I always advise my clients to follow strict aftercare- similar to how you'd treat a burn. The quicker your skin heals, the quicker your body can get to work removing the ink!
Can all tattoos be completely removed?
While many tattoos can be fully removed, some may only fade significantly. Factors like ink type, depth, and skin tone can affect the final results.
What should I do to prepare for tattoo removal?
Avoid sun exposure and tanning on the tattooed area for at least 2 weeks before treatment. Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy lifestyle to support your body’s natural healing process.
What should I do after tattoo removal?
Apply a healing ointment or antibiotic cream to the treated area. Avoid picking at scabs or blisters to prevent scarring. Keep the area clean and protected from the sun using SPF 30+ sunscreen. Refrain from hot showers, saunas, or swimming for at least 48 hours.
